About Donna Mee

DONNA MEE is a successful entrepreneur, and Beauty Expert that has over 30 years of experience to her credit. She currently owns and operates numerous beauty related businesses in Orange County, California. Her career as a professional Makeup Artist led her to work with celebrities, fashion designers, magazines and TV. In 1995, Donna opened her own Makeup Studio for private lessons as well as her bridal and pageant clients. She also custom designed her own makeup brush line and literally invented the very first spot conceal brush. Today just about every single cosmetic line and brush company make this brush. By 1996, Donna had more work than she could handle so she created The Donna Mee Agency for makeup artistry to fulfill her client’s needs for their videos, commercials, catalogs, weddings, etc. Donna quickly discovered how hard it was find makeup artists with both talent and a good work ethic. This realization led to opening a professional makeup artistry school, Empire Academy of Makeup. With a strong emphasis on advanced skills and professionalism, the academy teaches makeup for TV, film, print, bridal, runway, airbrush, and all other forms of artistry. Believing in teaching with the best products and tools possible, Donna designed an entirely new line of makeup brushes called All About Me to improve her student’s applications after many years in development.

Donna’s reputation as a successful artist and beauty expert transitioned into consultant work for several cosmetic companies as well as a writer of beauty columns and articles for magazines and online content. In 2006, Donna added a small makeup boutique to her list of businesses. Her business creation, the All About Me Beauty Camp for teen girls which launched in the summer of 2008 is in the process of turning into a non-profit and will re-lauch in 2013. The focus is on developing inner and outer beauty by improving their self esteem, confidence and communication skills for girls 13-18 years of age. Spring 2012 was the release of eleven mini “Beauty for Dummies ” books which is sure to become every woman’s beauty bible. Donna is in the process of patenting three new beauty tools that will revolutionize the way women not only apply makeup but determine what colors to purchase.

All eight businesses entities were started solely by Donna with no help from partners, investors or loans and are all still run by her on a daily basis out of her facility in Orange County, California. Donna is considered the top corrective beauty makeup artist and she specializes in print work. Additionally, she travels internationally doing educational tours and speaking as a Beauty Expert, Makeup Artist and Beauty Entrepreneur. She still makes time to teach the majority of courses at her private makeup artistry school, Empire Academy of Makeup. This is where she perfected the art and science of makeup and developed the most in-depth, comprehensive makeup methods and curriculum known as the Donna Mee Makeup Methods. Her reputation as a top beauty expert has transitioned into writing numerous magazine articles, interviews, medical journals, as well as consultant work for industry related companies.
