This is a more in-depth class of my seminar topic at IMATS Sydney, 2010. Discover how the understanding optical illusions will help you create them in makeup. Donna is known for creating amazing eyebrows (and lips) for everyone that has sat in her makeup chair. Discover advanced brow shaping with pain-free tweezing techniques. ADVANCED ARTISTRY TECHNIQUES Lecture/Demo/Hands-on

In this 3-day class, starts with all the basics, no one ever taught you. Like the importance of properly analyzing the skin to know what will and will NOT work on the person in your chair. We have all applied foundation on someone and been horrified at how bad it looked! That was due to not understanding her skin, therefore not knowing what products and formulas to use and more importantly, which ones to avoid! You will also learn proper skin prep techniques and information that will allow you to win the clients respect and greatly improve your confidence and credibility. In addition, you will also learn how to determine accurate skin tones, custom blend foundations and powders. Selecting and applying the best foundation color, coverage, finish and formula with confidence once you learn Donna’s many steps for assuring accuracy. Mastering concealing is imperative to doing great makeup. Concealing tips will help you create flawless canvas for the rest of your color application. This class also involves how to determine each clients best color palettes for not just makeup but also wardrobe, which may enable you to stay a step above your competition. The last hours of each day artists will work on a model and apply the knowledge the learned.
FASHION CATWALK MAKEUP Lecture/Demo/Hands-on

This is the ideal class for those that aspire to work in the word of fashion designers and runway models. There are no books to read that teach makeup artists how to get involved in their world. Therefore, for many, the world of creating looks for the catwalks is just a dream. Discover what is necessary to start working with fashion shows, how to not only work the shows but how to become the key makeup artist. Learn to design makeup looks based on the designer collections and how to generate looks that will get you noticed. You will be challenged in this class to get your creative juices flowing as you will chart out and create 4 looks based on season, collection and all the details taught in the seminar then apply your best look on a model the last 90 minutes of class.
CORRECTIVE BEAUTY EYE MAKEUP Lecture/Demo/Hands-on

Every woman desires to enhance their eyes; however “how to do it” remains a mystery to most. Discover the “epitome of beauty” and how to create it (or get as close to it as possible) with every woman you work on. This class will break down eye makeup like you have never experienced before. Learn application techniques and placement of color based on eye spacing, eye angle, eye shape, symmetry, size of space from crease to lash line, space from crease to brow and the arch of the eyebrow. Learn how to apply mascara and select false eyelashes based on each clients features. Empower yourself with the knowledge of “Corrective eyeliner, eye shadow, mascara and lashes” and impress clients with your ability to create incredible illusions with makeup. The last 2 hours is hands-on with a model.

This class will change the way you do eye makeup forever in your career! You will never choose to apply a basic flesh tone with brown in the crease again! All artists think they know color theory. But Donna will break it down in an entirely new way that will enable you to select the exact shades of eye makeup to enhance every eye color combination including brown eyes. (Brown is not on the color wheel!) The techniques taught in this class will allow you to pick the best base shade, contour, blending color and or accent shades of eye shadow as well as eyeliner colors and mascara. And when you can determine the colors best to use, and you do not have them in your kit… You will know how to create them out of what you have as long as you have the basics! The last 2 hours is hands-on with a model, preferably with a light eye color.
